About The Position

We are committed to providing the highest quality of care with integrity and compassion and are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) that share our same vision. Care Options for Kids specializes in one on one hourly pediatric and adult care in the home. Seeking Compassionate HHA for Personal Care and Household Assistance Client: Female, 25 years old Location: Pembroke Pine Position Details: Looking for a caring and reliable HHA to assist with light housekeeping and provide support with a specific bowel movement regiment, including every other day enema administration. This is a 40-hour weekly position, with shifts from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
  • Current BLS CPR Certification (obtained in-person, not online)
  • TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
  • Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
  • 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
  • Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication CEU (minimum of 2 hours)
  • HIV/AIDs CEU

Responsibilities

  • Perform all personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Registered Nurse (RN) which may include, but not be limited to, assisting the patient or client with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfer.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, which may include light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, straightening the sleeping and living areas, washing the patient's or client's dishes or laundry, and such tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety for the patient or client.
  • Measuring intake and output of fluids, and measure temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.
  • Keep records of personal health care activities.
  • Observe appearance and gross behavioral changes in the patient or client, reporting to the Registered Nurse (RN).
