About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Eventide Sheyenne Crossings involves providing essential care to residents during overnight shifts. The role focuses on meeting the physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs of residents while adhering to established nursing care procedures under supervision. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and dedicated to maintaining the dignity and comfort of each resident.

Requirements

• Current North Dakota Certified Nursing Assistant license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention to residents to support their physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing.
• Carry and follow assigned resident care plans at all times.
• Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, and range of motion as indicated on care plans.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident during service delivery.
• Interact with residents with warmth and compassion.
• Follow safety policies and procedures for residents, others, and property.
• Comply with regulations set by the North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
• Understand and uphold residents' rights, including the right to be free from restraints, abuse, and neglect, and report any incidents promptly.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment for residents.
• Promptly respond to residents' call lights and alarms.
• Perform tasks such as checking vital signs and residents' weights, and applying lotions as needed.
• Lift, move, and transport residents using appropriate methods as identified by care plans.
• Assist and escort residents for appointments and activities as needed.
• Document and record care provided and other pertinent information.
• Follow proper safety and infection control procedures, including handwashing and disposal of soiled materials.
• Assist with resident personal laundry as needed.

Benefits

• $2 weekend differential added to base wage.
• $2 PM/NOC shift differential added to base wage.
