About The Position

Park Place of Elmhurst is an elegant five-star community conveniently located across the street from Edward Elmhurst hospital. Here at Park Place of Elmhurst, we offer a continuum of care with the security of lifecare. Our residents also have access to assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support right on campus. We are seeking a hardworking professional full-time CNA to support carrying out our mission to deliver quality care to our residents!

Requirements

• Must have a compassionate, empathetic and nurturing personality.
• Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly.
• Must be mature and career minded.
• Must have a Nursing Assistant Certification for the State of Illinois.
• Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care.
• Perform all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies.
• Communicate and interpret the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver.
• Assist with the Admissions process and greet residents and family members.
• Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents.
• Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents.
• Wear a gait belt to assist residents who are not fully ambulatory.
• Document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty.
• Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
• Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.
