About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. The CNA has full access to patient health information and may have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities. This position is for the Oncology/Renal Unit and requires working full-time night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 36 hours per week with every other weekend included.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for NC.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
  • Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test including bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
