About The Position

Maine Medical Center Biddeford is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Float Pool. This part-time position requires 24 hours of work per week, with 12-hour shifts. The Float Pool is designed for CNAs who are looking for a challenge and want exposure to a broad range of patient acuity levels. The role involves floating between Medical-Surgical Units, focusing on Cardiac and Post-Surgical diagnoses, as well as the Special Care unit. This position provides great exposure to various specialties while allowing the CNA to expand their experience and skills. The CNA will assist in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Perform a variety of direct and indirect care duties.
  • Float between Medical-Surgical Units and Special Care unit as needed.
