About The Position

Maine Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Cardiac Telemetry unit. This is a full-time position with a night shift schedule, requiring three 12-hour shifts and weekends. The unit is a 40-bed cardiac telemetry unit that cares for a complex cardiac population of patients, including those with NSTEMI, AFIB, Unstable Angina, Advanced Heart Failure, and LVADs. Under the supervision of Registered Professional Nurses, the CNA will perform various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. On-the-job training will be provided for candidates with 0-6 months of CNA experience.

Requirements

  • Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine.
  • Must be on the State of Maine Registry.
  • Completion of a six-week or equivalent course.
  • 0-6 months of CNA experience.
