About The Position

This position is responsible for caring for the residents under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Health & Wellness. The role involves taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording height, weight, and fluid intake/output, and recognizing abnormal changes in body functioning. The individual will assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Additionally, the position requires transferring, positioning, and turning residents, providing skin care, contributing to the resident's assessment and the plan of care, and providing nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services. The caregiver will follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by the supervisor and provide emotional and social support to residents while promoting and protecting their rights.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training in Clinical/Nursing.
  • CNA licensure depending on state requirements and regulations.
  • Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties and communicate effectively.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
  • Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
  • Respect residents' confidentiality.
