About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant/Personal Care Assistant is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patients' needs. This position involves working with adult and pediatric patients across various locations in Sevierville, Clinton, Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Harriman, and Harrogate, with specific schedules outlined for each case. The role is contract-based and full-time, offering a weekly pay of $700 and a sign-on bonus of $500.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant/home health aide or competency training and evaluation program as applicable, per State/Federal regulations
  • Successful completion of Maxim's Clinical Competency Program for home health aides, including successful completion of examinations with score of 80% or higher
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
  • Meets Maxim and applicable State ground Investigation requirements
  • Possession of current CPR certification and First Aid training/certification as applicable, per State regulations
  • Participation in Tuberculosis screening/testing requirements per Maxim and as applicable, per State regulation
  • Successful completion of Maxim's orientations/trainings, in-service program, and Maxim training examinations, with a score of 80% or greater

Responsibilities

  • Bathing (sponge bath, shower, tub, shampoo)
  • Grooming (nail filing, hair care, oral hygiene)
  • Changing bed linen
  • Assisting patients with dressing and undressing
  • Skin care to prevent breakdown
  • Assisting the patient with toileting activities
  • Keeping patient's living area clean and orderly, as appropriate
  • Plans and prepares nutritious meals
  • Assists in feeding the patient, if necessary
  • Takes and records oral and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered
  • Assists with mobility, positioning, transfers, and using transfer/mobility devices as applicable
  • Assists with active and passive range of motion exercises and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered
  • Assists patient in the self-administration of medication
  • Does patient's laundry, as appropriate
  • Meets safety needs of patients, including proper use of equipment
  • Reports patient's condition and significant changes to the supervising Registered Nurse
  • Adheres to Maxim's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct
  • Other duties as assigned
