About The Position

The Resident Assistant position at Cottagewood involves providing both physical and emotional care to residents and their families. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as identified in the service plan.
  • Assist with dressing, grooming, oral cares, shampooing hair, showering or bathing, toileting, and other cares as assigned.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfers using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Help residents with hearing aids and glasses.
  • Support residents in reaching and maintaining their highest level of performance and independence.
  • Provide physical and emotional support to residents.
  • Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions.
  • Encourage participation in activities and escort residents to scheduled events.
  • Complete required documentation daily, including service schedules and communication logs.
  • Attend in-service training as assigned.
