About The Position
Healthpark Medical Center Women's Care Center is seeking an experienced CNA interested to join their team. This is a part time night shift position. We are willing to train the right candidate who may be a new graduate or willing to learn with background in hospital on an adult or similar unit, also from OB/GYN office. Must have a current FL CNA license in FL, or from another state and able to transfer to FL under mobile endorsement. Also, a Basic Life Support Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross that is not due to expire within 90 days of hire. Otherwise, will need to take a BLS renewal class prior to preboarding. Summary Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health, social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs. May have access to and transport non-controlled medications as directed.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of a State Approved, CNA Education Program required (with at least 120 hours of academic studies and clinical training; 165 hours preferred in Acute Care).
- Experience: Previous CNA work experience preferred; or new graduate CNA with clinical training.
- Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.
- License: Current Florida CNA Certification; or a CNA certification active in another state which is transferrable to obtain Florida certification under reciprocity.
- Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology.
