About The Position
This position requires a thorough understanding of facility's treatment program and philosophy, admission process, and criteria, working knowledge of various aspects of alcoholism, drug abuse, and dual diagnosis. This individual is a member of the mental health team providing professional level nursing care to patients under minimal supervision and consultation. This a complex position, which directs and guides activities on the unit and assignments of ancillary personnel assigned to unit and shift.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent and completed Certified Nursing Assistant's Certification.
- CPR/CPI (provided by facility)
- NC Driver's License with Acceptable driving record
- Must be 21 years of age based on company policy
- Knowledge of 12-Step programs.
- Ability to work with male and female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed population
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge/experience working with chemically dependent patients preferred.
