About The Position

At Lake Prince Woods, a continuing care retirement community, we are hiring staff for the position of Healthcare Aide. This is a full-time role with working hours from 7am to 3pm. Lake Prince Woods is a not-for-profit CCRC located in Suffolk, VA. We are looking for a compassionate and committed team member to join our 40 bed Healthcare Unit. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care, assisting the resident to reach and maintain the highest level of functioning in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards and federal and state regulations. The role encourages and promotes the resident’s ability to adapt and adjust to living independently as speedily and safely as possible.

Requirements

• High School graduate or G.E.D.
• Minimum of three (3) months work experience in basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants.
• Successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and has current certification and required in-services.
• Minimum age of 16 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care in accordance with physician’s orders.
• Assist residents in reaching and maintaining the highest level of functioning.
• Encourage and promote residents' ability to adapt to independent living.
• Comply with company and industry standards and federal and state regulations.
