About The Position
Certified Nursing Assistants perform basic restorative services and basic nursing services related to the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, basic mental health and protection of patient rights. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. The Nevada Department of Corrections is hiring for a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 in Ely, NV. Certified Nursing Assistants will work under the direct supervision of a Correctional Nurse 2. They will contribute to basics health assessments, collects, reports and records on flow sheets and treatment sheets basic objectives and subjective data related to Patient's health status and reports any changes to the Correctional Nurse 2. Position will also require incumbents to provide personal care including bathing, dressing, oral care, eating, repositioning or assist inmates with activates of daily living and provide treatment as directed by professional staff. Will need to be able to prioritize tasks, estimate time frames, meet deadlines, plan and use available resources and coordinate work assignments with others.
