About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the Registered Nurse (RN) in providing patient and family centered care that is safe, efficient, timely and effective. The CNA performs patient care under the direct supervision of an RN. The CNA is assigned tasks that are reasonably predictable, do not require assessment, interpretation or independent decision making during its performance or do not pose any risk to the patient.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience as a CNA.
• Current RI CNA certification.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse in providing patient and family centered care.
• Perform patient care under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Complete assigned tasks that are predictable and do not require independent decision making.
