is seeking a
Full-Time Certified Nursing Aide for Homecare
Day Shift
Non-Exempt
Occasional Inpatient Center
Job Summary: Primary function is to provide personal healthcare and related services to patients in homecare environments; to assist in providing a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with patients and families and share observations and problems with a supervisor. Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Completion of approved Certified Nursing Aide Program in good standing on the state nurse aide registry.
• At least one year experience required, preferably as a Hospice Aide or CNA in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, or long-term care facility.
• Must be able to read and write English and follow written and verbal instructions in English effectively.
• Must pass Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist and written skills test.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid and current auto liability insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Provide necessary skills to assist patients with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.
• Provide necessary skills to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patients to ensure continuity of care.
• Practice acceptable infection control principles.
• Provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Provide skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to agency policy.
• Promote the agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
