About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. This position is located at Briarwood Health Center, part of Timber Ridge at Talus, a senior living community in Issaquah, Washington. The community is known for its unique combination of an all-inclusive lifestyle, superior hospitality, and beautiful location. The role involves assisting residents with various daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a State-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program (CNA License).
  • Prior geriatric nurse aide experience is preferred.
  • Registration with State registry required.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Positive and professional work demeanor required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in Nursing experience in assisted living, memory care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
  • Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures, and collects specimens as instructed.
  • Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
  • Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
  • Answers signal lights promptly.
  • Changes bed linens, makes bed, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
  • Follows resident care plans.
  • Maintains safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
  • Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs, and rehabilitation.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
