About The Position
Position Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant performs assigned tasks and activities according to patient needs, as assessed by the primary RN. The Certified Nursing Assistant supports the nursing team in providing quality nursing care to patients and assists with fostering a safe, quiet, clean and organized environment for excellence in care delivery. Type: PRN (.1)
Requirements
- An active certification with the Montana Nurse Aide Registry required.
- A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
Responsibilities
- Assist patient with activities of daily living, which includes bathing, repositioning, ambulation, and feeding as necessary.
- Answers call lights to determine patient needs.
- Transports patients within the hospital.
- Maintains a clean environment for patient and co-workers which including changing bed linens, cleaning of equipment, and ensuring efficient order of patient rooms.
- Performs and documents vital signs and I&O.
- Documents all care provided in a timely manner.
- Communicates abnormal clinical information immediately to primary and/or charge nurse.
- Performs and documents recreational activities with swing bed residents per plan of care.
- Attends and participates in 90% Acute Care Nursing Staff meetings
- Assist ongoing whiteboard updates.
