We are currently seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to work in our Briarwood Health Center. If you’re looking for a different perspective on senior living come join us today! The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a State-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. (CNA License)
  • Registration with State registry required.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Positive and professional work demeanor required.
  • Minimum on (1) year experience in Nursing experience in assisted living, memory care preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior geriatric nurse aide experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
  • Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures, and collects specimens as instructed.
  • Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
  • Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
  • Answers signal lights promptly.
  • Changes bed linens, makes bed, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
  • Follows resident care plans.
  • Maintains safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
  • Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs, and rehabilitation.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
