(CNA) Certified Nurse's Aide - Full Time Evenings
About The Position
Join Loretto Health and Rehabilitation as a Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)! As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your primary responsibility will be to provide basic care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of patients by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Shift: Full Time Evenings 3:00pm – 11:00pm Every Other Weekend Rotation Required Pay: $24.27 - $26.14 Plus $1.50 Per Hour - Evening Shift Differential Offered!
Requirements
- Current NYS certification as a certified nursing assistant
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and rotation to weekend schedule to meet resident needs.
- Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families and other employees and cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.
- Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
- Ability to report changes in resident’s condition and other pertinent information.
- Ability to take and record information and basic records.
- Knowledge of MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with their personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help patients with mobility by aiding in walking, transferring, and positioning.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist in feeding patients and ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Respond to patient calls and provide them with emotional support and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by changing linens, tidying patient rooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Document patient information and report any observed changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the welfare of patients.
- Assist in transporting patients to various departments within the healthcare facility as needed.
