About The Position

The OBGYN Midwife Hospitalist position at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies offers a full-time opportunity for a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care. This role is primarily focused on delivering coverage services to private practice providers within a structured hospital-based model. The position includes clinical responsibilities in labor and delivery, postpartum care, and women's triage, supported by a robust clinical infrastructure and a collaborative care team.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an ACME accredited program.
• Certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife by the AMCB, renewed every five years.
• Active licensure in Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a qualification of Certified Nurse-Midwife.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification and NRP certification.
• Two years of experience as a practicing Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with first assisting in surgical procedures.
• Strong midwifery/nursing background within the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM).
• Work a flexible monthly schedule of 14 clinical twelve-hour shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts.
• Participate in clinical coverage 24/7, including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Gynecology, and Obstetrical Triage.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice provider colleagues in an acute care environment.
