Vassar Brothers Medical Center, part of Nuvance Health, located just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our successful and growing OB/GYN group for per diem work. We are a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population that draws from multiple counties in the Hudson Valley. The ideal candidate is dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment, and to providing full scope care that is grounded in compassion and shared decision making. The shifts are 24 hrs only. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have excellent communication skills, easily establish rapport and trust with patients and families, is committed to evidence-based care and practices, and values working with a diverse patient population. We are seeking a candidate that is reliable and adaptable and has a high level of clinical competence, compassion and empathy, commitment to patient education, cultural sensitivity, excellent interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and passion for lifelong learning and professional development.
