About The Position

Reports to the Patient Care Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the CNA provides specific direct patient care activities and performs related support functions within his/her scope of responsibility as specified in this job description.

Requirements

• High School or GED required.
• BCLS and completed certified Nursing Assistant course.

Responsibilities

• Responds appropriately in an emergent situation as per hospital policy.
• Utilizes principles of Infection Control in the delivery of care.
• Accurately performs and records vital signs including blood pressure.
• Monitors and records patient intake and output accurately.
• Provides for patient’s personal care needs-hygiene, toileting, feeding and bed making.
• Performs waive testing according to policy and procedure.
• Observes care of patients on suicidal, constant and safety precautions.
• Transport patients as assigned.
• Implements restraints according to policy and procedure.
