POSITION OVERVIEW: Works with RN, LPN to directly care for patients in the Hospital from admission to discharge. Under the direct supervision of the registered/licensed nurse, organizes and implements certain aspects of the care plan, such as checking vital signs, performing point of care blood glucose testing, answering lights, providing bath and hygiene care, meal assistance and assistance with ambulation and transfers. Receives directions from Nurses, Providers, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, DON.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- MT CNA Certification, required
- Basic Life Support, required
- Medical Terminology
- Keyboarding skills
- Basic patient care
Nice To Haves
- Medical Terminology course and computer course, preferred
