About The Position

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Tanglewood Nursing & Rehabilitation in EXB, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. Your primary focus will be to assist patients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork to support the overall well-being of our residents. Requirements

  • Current and valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by KANSAS.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care and safety standards.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a long-term care or rehabilitation facility.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Additional training or certification in specialized care areas such as dementia or palliative care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed by nursing staff.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including helping residents move safely around the facility and repositioning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing team promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by following infection control protocols and facility policies.
  • Support nursing staff with medical procedures and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
