About The Position

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to residents within a Skilled Nursing Facility. Requirements

  • Current and valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification as required by state regulations.
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, accurately and timely.
  • Provide mobility assistance to residents, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation support.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by following infection control and safety protocols.
  • Support nursing staff with medical procedures and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
