About The Position

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Arbrook Plaza Skilled Nursing, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. Requirements

  • Current and valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by the state of TX.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other health indicators, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident rooms and common areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care.
