About The Position
As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Arbrook Plaza Skilled Nursing, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. Your primary focus will be to assist patients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Requirements
- Current and valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by the state of TX.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other health indicators, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident rooms and common areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care.
