About The Position

Requirements
- Current and valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by Texas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the facility.
- Physical capability to perform duties including lifting, standing for extended periods, and assisting patients.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a long-term care or rehabilitation facility.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Additional training or coursework in geriatric or rehabilitative care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Support patient mobility by helping with transfers, ambulation, and positioning to prevent bedsores.
- Provide nutritional support by assisting with feeding and ensuring patients receive proper hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status, concerns, and changes in condition.
- Document care provided and observations accurately in patient records in compliance with facility policies.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
