About The Position

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) plays a critical role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients within healthcare and social assistance settings. Requirements

Current and valid CNA certification in Texas.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a state-approved nurse assistant training program.
Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
The CNA utilizes strong interpersonal skills daily to build trust and rapport with patients, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met with empathy and respect.
Attention to detail is critical when monitoring vital signs and observing changes in patient conditions, enabling timely communication with the healthcare team.
Physical stamina and dexterity are essential for assisting patients with mobility and personal care tasks safely and effectively.
Effective communication skills facilitate collaboration with nurses, doctors, and family members to provide coordinated care.
Additionally, familiarity with healthcare protocols and documentation practices supports accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff.
Provide mobility assistance, including helping patients move safely within their environment and supporting physical therapy exercises as directed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols and hospital policies.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
