Certified Nurse Assistant - Telemetry - Full Time, 8hr - Nights Variable

About the position

Under the direction and supervision of an RN, assumes responsibility and accountability for assignments for designated time frame, assisting other nursing staff in providing patient care according to established methods/policies/standards. In addition to performing the essential functions listed, may also be assigned other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing patient care.
• Perform essential functions as directed by RN.
• Accountability for assignments during designated time frame.
• May be assigned additional duties as required.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology and English.
• CNA certification required, or actively enrolled in, or graduated recently from, an accredited RN program.
• Experience in military medical service positions performing similar duties will also qualify.
• Must attain a CNA certification within 1 year of hire if coming from military positions.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Previous six (6) months experience as a certified nursing assistant required or satisfactory completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program.
