Certified Nurse Assistant - Med Surg
About The Position
Regular, Full-Time position at Med-Surg in Talihina hospital| Schedule: Could be days, nights, and/or weekends; 3 12-hour shifts one week, and 4 12-hour shifts the next | Pay: $16-$18 per hour, depending on experience Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Certified Nursing Assistant performs custodial tasks and assists with nursing duties in caring for patients. You will observe and report changes in patient conditions and maintain a safe and clean environment. You will report to the Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CNA certification with the State of Oklahoma
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Inform RN’s and LPNs of observed symptoms, reactions, changes in conditions of patients and other pertinent observations and information regarding patients related to current nursing diagnoses.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Observe the physiological health status of the patients during admission and throughout the visit.
- Communicate and develop rapport with patients and families to ensure they are comfortable and that their needs are being met.
- Assist with plan of care based on the patient’s problems and needs as identified by the RN on admission.
- Contribute to the organizational effectiveness and efficiency by participating in quality assessment and improvement activities.
- Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
