Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Since 1972, Ponderosa Villa has been Crawford's trusted home for elder care. As a city-owned, 35-bed skilled nursing facility, we are proud to serve our community with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and Veteran's contract coverage. Our dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff provide compassionate care in a cheerful, home-like atmosphere where families are welcome partners in resident care. We are currently looking for three full-time CNAs to join our nursing team-one for Day Shift (6a-6p), Swing Shift (2p-10p) and one for Night Shift (6p-6a) . Please do not apply unless you have a current NE CNA certification.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to make sound decisions independently when needed
- Knowledge of basic nursing practices and procedures
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations for long-term care
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist with needs
- Turn, reposition, and provide mobility support for residents
- Assist with daily living activities: bathing, eating, dressing, toileting, standing, walking, exercising
- Ensure dietary needs and restrictions are followed for each resident
- Monitor and record intake/output as needed
- Observe and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
