About The Position

Cardiac/Medical/Surgical Step Down / 4 South Welcome Home to Baxter Health's 31-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit, we are a family of highly-skilled caregivers, who provide optimal care to a diverse patient population. Our patient's conditions range from low acuity to critically ill. We work together to treat individuals with cardiac acuities such as arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and myocardial infarction. Our patient population also includes those with respiratory emergencies requiring Bi-PAP, aggressive pulmonary physiotherapy, and high-level monitoring. In addition, we also interface with patients facing a multitude of acute and chronic disease processes. The 4 South Step Down Team is excited and ready to welcome you to our family! Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent or minimum score of Bronze on the Career Readiness Certification ("CRC") certificate. If interested in obtaining CRC register as a Job Seeker at www.ARJobLink.Arkansas.gov.
One (1) year patient care experience preferred, but not required.
Current Arkansas nursing assistant certification in good standing. BLS required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Accountable for direct basic patient care, timely notification to appropriate staff on completion of patient care and for patient status changes on the assigned shift.
Responsible for adhering to all standards of patient care and promoting a team effort among co-workers.
