Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Weekend Double
About The Position
Cascades at Galveston is a fantastic skilled nursing facility located in Galveston, TX. We are expanding our CNA team and we are excited that you've considered us. Hours: We are currently hiring for the Weekend Double shift, (6AM-10PM) working every Saturday and Sunday. You must be a certified CNA to qualify for this position. In addition, our CNAs can participate in our Nursing Tuition Reimbursement and get $500/month applied towards an RN or LVN degree. Skilled nursing facilities provide care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care
Requirements
- Current Texas CNA certification
- Effective communication with coworkers and residents
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
Responsibilities
- Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
- Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
- Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff and develop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable
