Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Evenings 2P-10P
About The Position
Cascades at Galveston is a fantastic skilled nursing facility located in Galveston, TX. We are expanding our CNA team and we are excited that you've considered us. We are currently hiring full-time CNAs to join our amazing team for Evenings (2PM-10PM) 4-on, 2-off. In addition, our CNAs can participate in our Nursing Tuition Reimbursement Program, and get $500/month applied towards an LVN or RN degree. What can we offer you? Requirements
- Current Texas CNA certification license in good standing
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
Responsibilities
- Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
- Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
- Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff and develop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable
- SNF nurses care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care
