Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) PRN
About The Position
Cascades at Galveston is a fantastic skilled nursing facility located in Galveston, TX. We are expanding our CNA team and we are excited that you've considered us. If you want a supportive team beside you, grateful residents around you, and a place to grow as a CNA - you've found it ! We are currently hiring full-time CNAs to join our amazing team for PRN. We have 6A-2P, 2P-10P, and 10P-6A PRN shifts available . What can we offer you? Hourly range of $14-18 per hour On the job training will be provided to all CNAs. The training period is tailored to each individual, depending on comfort level and experience What do we ask from you?
Requirements
- Current Texas CNA certification license in good standing
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care
Responsibilities
- Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
- Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
- Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff and develop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable
- SNF nurses care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care
