In the General Medicine units, we receive patients from the Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, or nursing facilities. We see a wide range of medical diagnoses, from diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drains, tubes and everything in between.
