About The Position

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Assistant/Cardiac Monitor Technician to join their team at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. This dual role involves providing advanced EKG monitoring for patients requiring cardiovascular monitoring, including arrhythmia interpretation, and assisting nursing staff as a Certified Nurse Assistant. Requirements

High School Graduate
1-3 years of previous job experience as a CNA, phlebotomy, and EKG performance
CNA certification or Medical Assistant (MA) certification will be considered in lieu of CNA
Telemetry (EKG) Certification or successful completion of the cardiac monitoring course (Telemetry education from human biology, EMT-B, EMT-Paramedic, LPN, RN, PA, or healthcare specialty courses will be considered)
Phlebotomy Certification or successful training in phlebotomy with experience
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS or CPR certification
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks

Nice To Haves

CNA certification, preferred
Cardiac Dysrhythmia knowledge

Responsibilities

Collect and report patient information and data
Monitor the cardiac rhythms of patients
Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
Patient Transport
Collection of specimens
Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
As assigned, stay with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
