About The Position
A Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) fulfills the need of patient care in our clinic under the guidance of a licensed practical nurse (LPN). The CNA is responsible for assisting with direct patient care within the scope of their practice as well as other work which supports the patient environment. They can assist staff to ensure optimal patient care and assist the health care team to provide and maintain a clean, safe and attractive environment for patients.
Requirements
- Must have successfully completed a nursing assistant program and be currently licensed in the State of Oklahoma.
- Maintain current CPR
- Employee must be able to communicate effectiely with all members of the healthcare team.
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.
- Must be able to speak, write, read and follow instructions.
Responsibilities
- taking patient vital signs correctly
- Checking in patients and appropriately documenting in the medical record
- Being able to perform a dipstick urinalysis and finger stick blood sugar
- Perform CLIA proficiency for dipstick urinalysis and finger stick blood sugar
