CNA – Float Pool The Float Pool provides staff the opportunity to train to various departments within Patient Services. Minimum requirements are to work in the Medical/Surgical, Tele/Obs and IMCU units. Additional training to CCU, Emergency Room and Behavioral Health Services are encouraged but not required. Previous medical/surgical experience required Part time (48 hours biweekly) Shift: 12- hour night Every third weekend Eligible for shift and weekend differential Float Pool differential Position Function: The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) functions as an integral part of the patient care team by performing selected patient/resident care treatments and tasks as delegated by licensed nurses and is accountable for his/her own action in performing duties as assigned and for which he/she is trained. Included is recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive and psychosocial changes unique to the age group served.
