About The Position

We are hiring dedicated, compassionate CNAs to provide resident-focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters in a convent home environment in Chicago (West Peterson Ave, 60659, near neighborhoods of Lincolnwood and North Park) Casual/per diem scheduled position. This casual position operates on a biweekly schedule (Sunday–Saturday pay period) with the following rotation: Week 1: Sunday (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and Saturday overnight (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) Week 2: No shifts scheduled This rotation ensures no back-to-back weekend shifts on a regular basis; however, additional shifts available when needed. Wage will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity. Responsibilities: Our CNAs provides direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care. Our Nurse aides are responsible for documenting care for our sisters as required and communicating with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure resident quality care. This position also assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards. Our employees in all departments work together to strive to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment. We believe care partners in all departments should be able to engage in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engage in meaningful interactions during the course of every day. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required.
- Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.
