About The Position
The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents, adhering to resident assessments and care plans. Key duties include assisting residents with daily living tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing food intake, and providing hair and nail care. The CNA also assists with moving residents, responds to calls, and carries out duties in accordance with established resident care policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities involve measuring and recording vital signs as assigned by the Charge Nurse, identifying and reporting situations that could lead to resident accidents or injuries, contributing insights into resident conditions for care plans, and observing and reporting any changes in residents' symptoms, reactions, or overall condition to the Charge Nurse.
Requirements
- Must hold valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident assessments and care plans.
- Assist resident in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls.
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure.
- Measure and record vital signs as assigned by Charge Nurse.
- Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries.
- Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans.
- Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to Charge Nurse.
