About The Position

We are hiring a dedicated, compassionate CNA / Nurse Aide / Caregiver to provide resident-focused, quality care for elder Franciscan sisters at our Buffalo convent home on Doat Street/ Pine Ridge (near Cheektowaga). The hourly pay rate is $16.12 - $21.83 for Nurse Aides and CNAs. Wage will be determined based on factors such as CNA certification, the candidate's relevant work experience/qualifications, and internal equity. Responsibilities: Our Nurse Aide / CNA / Caregiver provides direct care to elder Franciscan sisters including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, dining, transporting, and restorative care. Our Nurse aides are responsible for documenting care for our sisters as required and communicating with residents, family members, management, and staff to ensure quality care. This position also assists and collaborates with the nursing staff with duties related to the ongoing needs of the residents according to established standards. Our employees in all departments work together to strive to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment. We believe care partners in all departments should be able to engage in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engage in meaningful interactions every day. Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required. Current or lapsed Certified Nurse Aide certification on file with the state in which the health services are located is a PLUS but not required. Long-term resident care or home care experience is preferred but not required.
