About The Position

The Certified Nuclear Pharmacy Technician at BAMF Health plays a critical role in supporting the production and delivery of radiopharmaceuticals, advancing the mission to accelerate access to precision medicine. This position encompasses all aspects of radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, including cyclotron operation, synthesis unit management, aseptic manipulations, and quality control testing. The Technician ensures the accurate and efficient production of high-quality radiopharmaceuticals while adhering to regulatory and quality standards, directly contributing to BAMF Health's transformative impact on patient care through precision medicine.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification in Michigan required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate's in a science-related field preferred.
  • GMP or GLP experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom processes as they relate to gowning and cleaning preferred.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Pharmacy, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Radiation safety, and/or familiarity with cyclotron processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties specific to the production of radionuclides.
  • Prepare and test radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Dispense radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and investigational use.
  • Exemplify compliance with all regulatory commitments including cGMP, Radiation Safety, Pharmacy laws, and corporate policies.
  • Work in ISO 7 cleanroom to make product vials and customer vials for drug production.
  • Perform environmental and personnel monitoring in ISO 5, ISO 7, and ISO 8 environments.
  • Coordinate daily production run schedule based on patient and operational needs.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation practices, oral communication, and writing skills.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks, including maintenance of daily production records and report preparation.
  • Manage inventory, including receiving materials and maintaining proper cycle counts.
  • Perform daily radiation safety tasks and general lab cleaning.
  • Ensure the site is clean, orderly, and a safe working environment.
  • Provide exemplary customer service, including telephone support and customer visits as necessary.
  • Support team member training and staff development.
