Requirements

  • Active Certified Medication Technician certification in good standing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience as a CMT, ideally in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with electronic health records and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately.
  • Document all medication administration and promptly report any changes in resident condition.
  • Work under the supervision of a registered or delegating nurse.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Keep your Maryland Board of Nursing certification current.
  • Follow all state regulations and facility policies for medication administration.
  • Report and document incidents or medication errors in accordance with policy.
