About The Position

Join our overnight care team as a Certified Medication Aide! In this full-time role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring resident comfort and safety while independently managing medication administration during the quiet overnight hours. Position Summary: The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for safely and accurately administering medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality care, supporting residents with daily needs, and ensuring a calm, caring environment during the overnight hours.

Requirements

  • Active 40-hour Certified Medication Aide license in the state of Nebraska in good standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration.
  • Ability to work independently and remain attentive throughout the night.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to high-quality resident care.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer oral, topical, and inhaled medications as assigned and per physician orders.
  • Accurately document medication administration, refusals, and resident responses.
  • Report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse promptly.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) during overnight hours as needed.
  • Perform safety checks, rounds, and monitoring per facility protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized medication cart and medication room.
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding medication administration and resident care.
  • Provide compassionate, respectful interactions supporting resident dignity.
