About The Position
· Dispense patient medications: oral, inhalation and topical medications to patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse unless otherwise allowed by state law. · Track all prescription and non-prescription drugs that you administer, keeping meticulous records of dosage times and amounts · Ensure patients take their medication · Follow all facility standards and regulations to ensure the safety of patients and staff · Taking vitals (blood-pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration) according to protocol (established procedures). Assists the nurse in providing care to clients, which includes observation and reporting of client needs
Requirements
- Graduate from a state board recognized graduate/diploma program
- Successfully pass state board exam
- Certified in Basic Life Support, BLS
