Must have an Iowa Medication Aide Certification Current opportunities include: PT 10pm-6am Prairie Gate senior living community in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is one of Presbyterian Homes & Services newest communities. Prairie Gate's updated prairie-style architecture will beckon the adventurous, with inviting interior spaces for social gatherings, opening to an expanse of prairie plantings, and flowers lining outdoor walking paths, engaging the senses and promoting wellness. At the heart of the community, the two-story 21,000 square foot Town Center offers an array of amenities and services, including community gathering spaces, restaurant-style dining, a bistro, salon, library, club room, business office, guest suite, chapel and wellness center with aerobics studio. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a state approved training program and current certification in medication administration in state(s) in which he/she practices.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Responsibilities

  • The Trained Medication Assistant is responsible for the provision of high quality care and services to our RCF/assisted living residents consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices.
  • The Trained Medication Assistant administers medications and performs Resident Assistant responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform ADL's as scheduled and assist other Resident Assistants as needed while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.
  • Monitor changes in Resident's condition
  • Transferring and assisting residents with mobility using various methods (gait belt, mechanical lifts, etc.)
  • Ensure residents are cared for with dignity.
