About The Position

This position requires Certified Medication Aide certification Cascades at Galveston is a fantastic skilled nursing facility located in Galveston, TX. We are expanding our nursing team and we are excited that you've considered us. We are currently hiring full-time CMAs to join our amazing team for Double Weekends (6AM-10PM) every Saturday and Sunday. In addition, our CNAs can participate in our Nursing Tuition Reimbursement Program, and get $500/month applied towards an LVN or RN degree. What can we offer you? Requirements Current Texas CMA and CNA certification in good standing Effective communication skills Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care Job Duties Job Description: Deliver routine daily medications, either prescription or non-prescription, to patients Coordinate with different nurses to assist with patient care and medications Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications Record medication dosages and times Observe patients and document changes in their condition Gather samples for analysis Ensure equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned Uphold all health and safety standards Respond to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify patient needs SNF nurses care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care.

Requirements

  • Current Texas CMA and CNA certification in good standing
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care

Responsibilities
