About The Position

Priority Management is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join their care team at Ridgeview Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Cleburne, TX. This role is integral to patient care and recovery, focusing on the accurate and compassionate administration of medications. Responsibilities include verifying resident identity, meticulously recording medication details, administering drugs according to established procedures, and closely observing residents for their responses to medication. The aide will also be responsible for taking and recording vital signs, monitoring food and fluid intake/output, and responding promptly to resident needs through signal systems. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated caregiver committed to providing excellent care.

Requirements

Must have a current, valid CNA certification in good standing
Must have current Medication Aide certification in good standing

Responsibilities

Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage and time of administration on specified forms or records.
Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application or administers medication using specified procedures.
Takes vital signs or observes residents to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
Takes and records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
Answers signal lights, bells or intercom system to determine resident needs.
Other duties as assigned.
