About The Position

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Shift Schedule: 12-hour Day Shifts (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) Rotation Schedule: 1 day on, 2 days off; 4 days on, 2 days off; 1 day on, 4 days off Job Summary: A warm and welcoming assisted living facility located in Abilene, KS, is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join their team. As a CMA, you will play an essential role in the daily care of our residents, including medication administration, monitoring resident health, and assisting with activities of daily living. Key Responsibilities: Medication Administration: Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to state regulations and facility policies. Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental conditions to the licensed nurse or supervisor. Resident Assistance: Assist residents with daily activities, including grooming, dressing, bathing, and mobility. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for medication administration, health observations, and care activities. Communication: Collaborate with residents, families, and the care team to ensure personalized, high-quality care. Safety and Compliance: Follow infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and all relevant state and federal regulations. Team Collaboration: Support nurses, caregivers, and other staff to foster a caring and supportive environment for residents. Light Housekeeping: Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents. Meal Preparations: cooking and meal preparation and serving

Requirements

  • Valid Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in Kansas.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an assisted living, nursing home, or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
